I've only top roped so far, and really wanted to get into leading. But the idea of bolts breaking does scare me a good deal. And it doesn't help that I live in a coastal area of a third world country where most of the fixed protection are 'homemade' pitons instead of the standard expansion bolt thing. And the routes are really runout because pitons are expensive.
Anyone here ever had a bolt break under them during a fall? Or found one that was too sketchy to trust? What did you do then, bailed or kept going hoping not to fall?
