poke weed aka poke sallet..this one is kinda tricky.. can't eat raw..boil it and drain the water, traditionally, then stir fry it in bacon grease, or cook it a second time ...it won't outright poison you if you screw up, your mouth will start stinging before you eat enough to do much harm..go for the smaller plants, kinda a little late in the season for it .. really tasty if prepared properly
