Mass global human depopulation is the more likely future, especially as AI and automation loom around the corner to eliminate a huge number of jobs causing large swathes of humans to simply become obsolete and therefore nothing more than dependent liabilities upon the extremely wealthy. Not to mention deleterious mutations that would have been selected out otherwise are allowed to accumulate in the genetic population at a startling rate ever since the industrial revolution and advent of modern medicine and low intelligence populations are currently vastly out reproducing high intelligence populations. If these reproductive trends are allowed to persist into the future indefinitely this could lead to a future where the average human intelligence and genetic fitness plummets to levels where humanity as a whole will be far too unintelligent and genetically disordered to maintain any sort of advanced civilization. If the extremely wealthy internationalist elite class are intelligent (which they seem to be) they would logically conclude that a huge percentage of the population would need to be culled and current genetic selective pressures upon humanity would have to be significantly altered for the long term viability of humans as a species.
