>>543150I own a range for the various things I do.
Occupation: final year med student, will be a doctor in a rural area next year (job has been offered)
Hobbies: fishing, hiking, driving, travelling
I'll list some pros and cons under each knife
Also: stethoscope, 2 pens, notebook, pen light, hankerchief (I get sweaty, don't want to drip on a patient), and sometimes a 128hz tuning fork and a tendon hammer
Here are mine, from top to bottom (all Victorinox)
>Soldier 2009 - for camping/hiking use, lives in a holsterPros: lockable blade, saw is surprisingly good
Cons: Big, a bit too "tactical" for dailying, no scissors, no tweezers
>Super Tinker - "house" knife, was gifted by an ex, the start of the collectionPros: pretty complete set of tools, phillips head comes in handy more often than you'd think
Cons: heavy, a bit too thick to wear comfortably
>Waiter - "daily" knifePros: very lightweight, has everything I'm likely to need for social occasions
Cons: no scissors
>Classic SD - spare one I keep on my spare key setPros: small, has scissors
Cons: not as good at the Rambler for about the same size
>Rambler - "work" knifePros: very small, can still open bottle caps, has scissors
Cons: too small to cut fruit
Just bought a Sportsman Ecoline (and 3 more Classic SDs but those are for when I need a small gift in a hurry) and waiting for it to arrive. It'll be useful on my trip to India/Japan at the end of the year (just manages to sneak in under Japanese knife carry laws).
