>>2492635Niagara Falls is an exception. There's no shortage of natural attractions in the east that aren't commercialized at all. Western and Central New York alone have 100s of waterfalls on public land, some of them being quite spectacular and others being quite wild, requiring a combination of bushwhacking/creekwalking/climbing/rappelling to reach. The Adirondacks and Catskills have plenty as well. You could spend a lifetime exploring them and never get bored. That's not to mention the lakeshores, gorges, caves, mountains, rock cities, old growth forests, and other impressive natural features.
