>>1822049First off anon, there are like 6 other knife threads up right now, 3 of them specifically about pocket knives... didn’t want to ask this there?
Secondly what is there to Redpill? It’s a mini Bugout in the storm trooper colors, it’s the structurally the same as any other mini Bugout, which is just about the same as a regular Bugout but smaller.
Which leads me to concluded it’s not a good knife for the money. If the regular Bugout were like $40 cheaper it would still be a hard sell to me, because the Para 3LW is $98 and is just a better knife in just about every way, except *hurr durr it’s like 1/2 oz heavier*, as if that makes a real world difference. I bought a Bugout and honestly carried it for a month just to make sure that I didn’t like it out of bias, but no it’s just a crappy flimsy knife. It’s only popular because so many people buy them to mod them, which fine if you want a project, but does not make it out to be a good value if you have to make an already overpriced knife better buy spending more money on aftermarket scales, that also add weight to make it as heavy as the competitive knives.
So you could say I’m not a fan of the Bugout in general, but more so I’m not a fan of Benchmade. They have dog shit tier quality control and generally are bad value material wise compared to other similarly priced brands. Yet they market them self as some sort of premium brand, and have been known to have significant heat treat problems or just shit standards that they don’t fix until they get enough backlash.
