I know in my area the bluefoots and ovoids, pic related, have a deadly lookalike called galerina marginata. It grows in the same seasons and environments but is easily distinguished from the trippy bois by its gill structure, bruising, spore print, etc. Read field guides and books on mushroom identification and be 100% sure of the ID before you eat anything. Imagine tripping and then getting insane diarrhea, stomach cramps, and vomiting the entire time because you had one not-so-fun-gi. Probably would feel like you got rid of some demons lol
Just buy some from a dude in a multicolor wool blanket poncho if you don’t want to put in the research to do wildertrips safely.
