>>1208442Don't know what it might be my man but they sound awesome! I would guess frogs but it's the ocean, possible birds? Either way that's fricken cool. I gotta use my contact mics/hydrophones more.
>>1208774I can hear spring springing. Always the most exciting time of year. It's late summer here now, but I went mountianbiking through the national park the other day and right in the middle of the day I heard the most astounding sounds. I assume they were frogs, but they were high up in the gumtrees and they just made a single "ping" each, but with a few dozen of them going, each in a different tree, it was awesome. I'm going back next week at the same time to record them before the season changes.
>>1208787Aww shit, I record pretty much exclusively with a Jecklin. So much nicer and more immersive than coincident pairs (imo), and because it's a bafled stereo that mimicks the ITD and ILD of the human head it's often technically considered a binaural technique, but not so binaural that it only works in headphones. It's the best of all worlds if you ask me! I've also got a bowling ball I drilled out and put little lav mics in for fun, it works great but the quality of those little mics is a schiddy. I'm working on a new one with proper omni capsules (from my old omni mics I don't use anymore) but not sure if it's really worth it. The bowling ball is cool but not exactly /out/ friendly.
>>1208808Ok that is a quality dummy! Nice channel, fucken followed!
