In my case it's in southern France, I don't hunt myself but in the Ardèche, Cévennes mountains and basically all the southern end of the Massif Central range are nice forests where hunting is popular. I always loved how you go from the crowded seaside and vineyards to cows, forests and mountains in an hour drive.
