>>2698624I bought a Stormy Kromer 100% wool jacket last year and it's the only jacket I've worn since, with the exception of light rain/spring jackets when it's too warm for wool or when I'm packing light.
I gotta say it's been one of my best purchases in recent years. It's not super warm on its own, but due to the large fit and lack of lining/insulation, you can wear as many layers underneath as you need (my layer set includes a merino base layer, 2 chunky wool sweaters, and a down jacket, which can be comfortably worn all at once). It's also surprisingly rain and wind resistant due to the tight weave. Easily the most versatile and durable jacket I've ever owned.
