Had a conversation today how its fucking absurd that you cant keep a feather because 'muh' government is going to fine you a ridiculous amount if it's a particular type (songbird or eagles). Sure assholes are going to kill them but the law doesnt stop that. Similar to gun laws, do they really stop criminals? I see these get out into nature .gov billboards everytime I go out and imagine some parent taking little timmy on a hike, he finds a feather and the parent has to explain why he cannot keep it as a treasured keepsake from a good time. It takes away the enjoyment for the rest of us.
In b4 'feathers carry disease' it's not hard to wash or freeze them for a period of time.
