Then I got the Haix KSK3000 for heavier stuff like alpine. Overall satisfied too, just take some time to break in, but as production is outsourced to Croatia, the quality could be a bit better. Sole is sort of soft and walks down rather quickly, then again mountain boots are apparently supposed to be so. The rubber band for gravel protection could be glued on a bit better - it's far from coming off completely, but it's loose for a couple mm in a few spots. Biggest issue so far is that one lace eyelet broke off because I guess I bumped against a rock or something, local cobbler fixed it for a measly €4 though
