>>1821966The doom and gloom people are total scam artists and demagogues. Look at how much money is being wasted to "address climate change" with 0 results.
Bottom line is people in the future will be better off than us in net, could climate change reduce that somewhat? Sure, but they'll still be better off. Plus, they will have better technology to deal with it.
All these renewables are a fucking scam. You can't improve society by making it drastically poorer. The way forward if better energy sources not worse. Nuclear power is something we can do right now that creates less pollution. Then look into researching things like fusion, hydrogen, Thorium etc. I don't know which of those is the right answer because I'm not a science bitch (but really they don't either, otherwise we'd have it).
I'm totally against pollution etc though.
Carbon emissions are a cost/benefit thing. All these nutjobs really seem to like downplaying the massive benefits - you know like billions of people, modern civilization etc.
I'm also not entirely sure of the scale of our contribution to climate change. I had never heard someone give a number. Last time I made the mistake of listening to the Sam Harris podcast, he had some climate change propagandist on who was a total nutjob. The guy said that the earth would actually be cooling if it weren't for humans. That made me super skeptical.
