Got the Osprey Mutant 52 a year ago. I bought it as a mountaineering pack but I found I liked it so much I've used it for everything since. I tend to find Osprey packs are too bulky and have too much going on for me, but this one is nicely minimal.
I think my my only issues are I wish the side straps were longer. It's a bit of a squeeze to get a z-lite matt in there and impossible if you also have a rope over the top. The gear loops are nice but I also wish there was a bit of webbing to put an ice clipper on. I like to stow ice axes on them. I also wish they'd just used a standard webbing loop for the ice axe attachment. The system they have is fine, but a bit fiddly with gloves and because it's elastic it can be a bit loose.
Not my pic but I also do the same thing with the ski strap on the front, usually to secure a shovel. Works well.
