>>910552Exactly. And for the same price you could get a Berkley Lighting Rod that feels like an actual bass rod. Or for $10-$20 more than a GX2, you could get a Fenwick Eagle or Shimano Sellus that feels like an actual bass rod and comes in a wide selection of weights, sizes, and actions that actually mean something unlike the Ugly Stiks.
Speaking of the Fenwick Eagle, I would be down to get another one of those. That was one of the rods that came highly reccommended in that price range once you decide you deserve better than an Ugly Stik but still don't want to drop more than $150 on a combo. I have a 6'6" M spinning rod with Med-Fast action. It is super sensitive and great for 1/6-1/3oz baits. 1/4oz spinnerbaits, inlines, and jerkbaits feel perfect on that thing but the action is a little slow for Texas rigs and other finesse stuff on the bottom or twitching topwater. I would like to try one of those in either a M with Ex Fast action or MH with Fast action and maybe run it on a memecaster or get another ~3000 size spinning setup going because I bet with that sensitivity and a faster action it would be so nice for throwing 1/4oz shakey heads or Texas rigs.
