>>1556434> Listing a bunch of statistics in an attempt to deny a very real problem is probably the cringiest thing you can do, dude.Statistics are the only rational way to evaluate the actual danger of gun violence in the US. And statistics reveal that dying from gun violence is not a major worry if you live in America. You're actually more likely to die prematurely from diesel emissions (because Europe chose to go with shitty diesel cars) in Europe than you are to die from gun violence in the US.
Yes, gun violence is SOMEWHAT preventable, but Americans have made the value judgement that the freedom of owning guns outweighs the cost of life; just like Europe made the judgement that cheap diesel is worth poisoning the populace with NOX and diesel particulate matter.
You have to draw a line between freedom and "keeping people safe" somewhere. The Government could probably prevent all manner of preventable deaths if it stepped in and restricted freedom. Lets ban saturated fat and refined sugars to reduce obesity! Lets set the speed limit for all vehicles to 20mph to reduce traffic deaths!
It's a balance and America chose to hold on to the freedom to own guns. If you don't like it, don't move to America and shut the fuck up you virtue signalling self-righteous Euroshit.
