I figure this is a decent idea for a thread. Post pics/describe items you've shelled out a few bucks for that you later regretted once getting out in the wilderness.
pic related: I bought this combo axe/saw and got a shitty axe and a shitty saw. In hindsight, I should have bought a fiskars or a nice wooden handle axe. It took me so much longer to chop wood with this compared to when I borrowed by buddy's fiscars axe (orange handle, composite grip)
