>>2012458There is one DIY that is bigger than most skateparks I've been to and then 5 or 6 public concrete parks, 4 or 5 backyard ramps and street skating in the major towns (AVL and Waynesville). If you wanted to skate everything and see all the waterfalls and overlooks and stuff you would need to take a week long trip.
This photo was taken about 45 minute drive from Waynesville skatepark. It's up a gnarly 4x4 trail with jagged cliffs on both sides to a dead end at a stream, so nobody goes back there. To drive up it you gotta beat the fuck out of your truck climbing the hill but once you're back there it's worth it
