Lake Albina, Snowy Mountains NSW Australia. Did a 5 day (mostly) off-track expedition in December 2012 starting from Dead Horse's gap and climbing all the notable peaks such as Townsend, the Ram's Heads and that pathetic hill Kosciuszko. Lake Albina sits just west of Mount Townsend, and despite being only about 3km away from the most climbed mountain in Aus, barely anyone goes there. Water's fucking cold though.
