I did get sort of lost one night while mountain biking in a forest reserve I don't know very well. A thunderstorm came through once it got dark and I couldn't see the stars and got totally turned around on the twisty trails. Ended up exiting on the wrong sideroad (I could tell because of the side that was uphill) and had to go back the other way to find the car (which is where my compass was).
After the rain all these frogs came out to sit in the trail and once I got to the road the bushes were full of fireflies and the lightning was flickering in the distance so it was still a pretty good ride, just a lot longer than I planned.
I got one of these bells the next week.
