The idea with this is it sits in my wagon and will keep me going if I get stuck out in the bush. Would also be useful as a "Get me to my BOB" bag as well, I guess.
I've always got tools, tarp, fire extinguisher, axe, first aid etc in the vehicle, but if I have to walk out of somewhere I've got stuck, or SHTF, I can grab this and a tarp and I'm set.
In the case it starts raining Chinese paratroopers, most of the items in the pouches can be transferred to pockets and replaced by ammo. Realistically though, add the suspenders and tarp and it's a light day pack, about 8lbs.
