I'm in the rainy PNW so I always carry rain jacket, rain kilt and tarp in case I get hydrocucked. Good thing is there is water sources everywhere and it's all super clean. How do you guys backpack in the desert? Do you just carry +4L of water on your back?
Closest I've been to where you are is that part east of Big Bear that goes down into the desert valley.
