Its a great way to at best catch a theft and trespassing charge and at worst get shot at in the US. Im sure if you ask around or spot someone that recently had some tree work done and inquire about taking a few rounds home, they'd oblige. Since you're in the UK however, try to hunt down an old Elwell with convex cheeks. It will throw chips and split with ease. Pic related.
