fuck banff, peter lougheed park is right beside banff, its just as good if you want to camp and hike, and it has way, way less visitors, its smaller though
mount black prince is a great day hike, good place to see rock rabbits
theres a pretty big waterfall on the southwest side of upper kananaskis lake.
its an easy day hike, its best in early summer, peters out a little later in the year
three isle lake is a good hike in only camp site
you cant see the passage from below, its solid rock then it opens up into a hanging valley high up in the mountains
its very nice, no fires though
from three isle lake you can take the northover ridge to aster lake
the northover ridge is truly terrifying
its very easy to hike into elk lake provincial park from peter lougheed
elk lakes is not too busy
