>>474452the only things really worth eating there will be trout and salmon, which almost always need a permit and are fly fishing only, which is a whole different style with very precise fly types that i dont know, there are pike also but not much good to eat, though you can spin for them, often without permit. for them the simplest way is to cast out picrelated on a decent spinning rod (no weights or anything, again just swivel - line - lure), near features in the water, eg submerged log, tree roots, the edge of weed patches. it all depends very much on the season as with most fish, some weather they love or hate, some seasons when they just arent there or arent interested.
