Hultafors would have been 65€ and more heavy, Gränsfors would have been 100€ and about same weight. I think for beginning the Fiskars will be enough and do the job. Its not like its a cheap axe.

Are the Mechanix Original good enough? I read real leather is not so good for wet conditions because they wont dry for ages. Although, with fake leather you shouldnt handle fire.
