The whole point of going out into nature is to get away from society and artificial creations. The fucksticks who make these stone stacks are so self-absorbed that they think they need to leave some kind of mark of their human presence, like it ever amounted to anything positive in that area.
That's why these stacks are retarded. The creators think they're these spiritual kinsmen with a deep connection to the outdoors, which is obliterated the moment they snap a picture of their mediocre creation for society's approval on social media.
