I would prefer a complete concrete built home, something like pic rel. Like a satellite radio control center, those places are built like bomb shelters. You can deck out the inside with wood interior and build an entire underground. I would spend the extra 20k for concrete than shitty plywood shacks if we're talking about prefabs/precast.
Funny enough, if you gave a ancient human the choice between a concrete home and a log cabin, they would take concrete 10 times out of 10.
