Its like a running vest and I think going lighter on it will introduce compromises when running. The quilt isnt really rated. Its a cheap chinese crap one. So Im thinking about buying an expensive ee enigma or something like that. Also a more expensive but lighter pad. The sleeping system should save me about 350 grams. I will also buy a smaller battery bank for the Electronics, saving about 100 grams. On the other hand I will use a heavier rain jacket, salomon bonatti wp. And probably a heavier rain pant. Im afraid the rain skirt will be too skimpy
