I also had a shop install new lower control arms recently, and when they put it back together they maxed out the t-bars for some reason.The control arms began impacting the frame like crazy and of course had to be dropped back down.
Ford engineers designed the suspension to stay within a pretty limited range. Anything more than an inch is too much in my experience. Aftermarket torsion keys or any other snake oil bullshit shops try to sell you won't change that.
