>>2304018They come rough, need work from factory, the heads are hydraulically pressed on so I take the time to carve off the shoulder and fit the head so it’s a proper friction fit that can be taken off by striking the bottom of the handle firmly. I also strip the lacquer off the rest of the handle and replace it with an oil finish. The head is good, simple 1055 carbon steel, all I do is thin the edge out a lot with a belt sander and sharpen it up.
I like mine and take it with me on some trips. I made a second one as a gift to a friend.
