>>1932614Here's another one only a bit better.
This time my only excuse is it's so long since I've used my graphics program, I can't remember how to use it, so had to do it all with the line tool and a bit of freehand.
Fireplace with stovetop, back to to firewood under 2nd story. Blue lines for water catchment and storage.
You could actually get a big tank and bury it - I assume you're in the US and have fucked up rainwater laws.
Throw in an electric pump and include a wetback in your hot water system. (Is that what you guys call it too, where you heat it with the fire? Electric also)
Maybe throw in an awning outside the upstairs room too.
Have the whole thing far enough off the ground for a 100yr storm. (Containers will float - also if you bury them they have a habit of rising when the soil is saturated.)
Solar would be good in the long run, but if you've already got a genset I wouldn't be in a huge hurry, it's not cheap.
Just occurred to me that if you move #2 up to the green line, and #4 up to the green line, where they intersect would probably be a good spot for a spiral stairway to save room.
You'll also want some outside stairs, but my attention span expired 15min ago ha ha
