I'm currently planting burr oaks.
The acorns I'm growing them from were the size of a golf ball.
They can have 150 foot diameter canopy's and there are 400 year old specimens around the U.S.
The soonest they can produce acorns is at 35 years old, 50 years is more common.
I'll never seen them in their full glory, but hopefully my grandchildren will.
