I was tempted to buy the saphire super duper extra fine hone in addition but I don’t think the kit even needs it.
Not sure about the value for money when going with the diamond kit, I haven’t sharpened the super special steel Benchmade on the Lansky so who knows. Maybe that’s where you really see the benefits of the diamond stone, but not like I need it to cut the knife way faster if I’m touching up the edge.
I think the Lansky did real well on ProjectFarm autist’s video of sharpeners, especially when looking at the cost of some of the others.
>>2446228I almost always break the tips of knives when I use them daily for a long time. Happened to the CRKT I had before the Esee. I have yet to fuck the tip of the Izula after a year and a half of carrying it daily nor the Candiru after close to a year. I don’t purposely abuse them, but they get dropped and land on the tip and sometimes you don’t have a screwdriver nearby and need to use the knoife.
