You might think they're cheap and for beginners-and they are-but they also give a very good smoking experience, last quite a while if you do your part and are forgiving of beginner mistakes. They dont hold a ghost (the residual aftertastes and aromas from any strongly-flavored tobaccos you've previously smoked In a pipe) very long, making them a better choice than most for that first pipe you want to do everything with. If they get wet, just set them in the sun to dry out. Plus, if you break or lose it, a new pipe is only a $7 drugstore visit away.
