>use your quilt as rest insulation, drop the extra clothing>cut a hole in your zlite to turn it into a “poncho” for active insulation, drop any fleece or synth jacket (backpack will keep it close to body and warm back)>cut your zlite to a mummy shape, cut leg sections off if you can handle it (can always easily re attach, I use dead grass, branches and moss under my legs, easy to gather)>trim the straps on your backpack, consider removing belt or swapping for a simple strap (wrap spare socks for hip padding)>add a hood and cord belt to your tent, ditch the froggs toggs>buy a $7 “bsr” stove instead of pocket rocket>use foil as windshield and lid, ditch lid>Dremel down your sawyer squeeze, it won’t affect performance.>swap guylines on tent for fishing wire or lightweight cord like zing-it>swap tent for cheap silnylon tarp>as I mentioned earlier, poncho tarp with belt and kam snaps will be more breathable than froggs toggs for similar fit and function>lightest titanium skewers, cheap from aliexpress, surprisingly durable for the thinnest ones (or use sticks and rocks)>second hand carbon ski poles for trekking poles, or garden bamboo (use it as a “walking crutch” and you won’t need folding poles to ride buses or get on planes, which is the only time you need to collapse a pole) with cork fishing rod grips, should be under $10 total
