micro fishing can be fun but is also a meme. if you want to try it get some ice fishing bobbers, some micro splitshot, a spool of 6x or 7x tippet, and a #20 hook (or smller, easy to find if you search for midge hooks) then either hook a single maggot on to them like in pic related (sorry for ant pic, also hooked like this fish have a hard time taking it and also it stays on really well and moves a lot) or you can just cut regular worms in to tiny pieces and fish that (i mean painfully small, a square that's only like 3x3mm at most)
llive minnows as bait are not so much satisfying as effective
