but getting back on topic I've got standard surplus Mess Kit with a hook I filed into the handle/lock and no utensils. Also a tallish coffee can(with strategically placed hook-holes) I use for just about everything and is easily replaced beater.
Anyone know of a larger canteen with a WW2 GI style cup-holster deal? I always thought those were neat. Maybe something with a lid? I'm pretty derp on official canteen stuff, i've got an old cub scout clunker and reuse plastic water bottles.
