Finished shaping yesterday, now adding recurve.
My plan is to use a heat gun. Heat, place siyah into the mortise where the shave horse is currently attached, bend, and affix to the standing bench next to the low one.
Don't know if before or after, but I was also thinking of shaping the handle, and using a ratchet setup to induce .75" recurve
Add walnut reinforcement/bridge to the siyahs, and tiller with a scraper. Target weight, 30#.
I'm thinking of incorporating a sliver from the first failure there.

Build strength, and use a two finger release. Split for English style, slavic for asiatic.
