Context:
We are both in ours 30', not married, but we are together for almost 15 years, we live around German, Polish, Czech border.
To the point.
She is solid! Besides my best friend (he died in a car crash few yers ago) she is the best hiker I know. She's always pulling her own weight, she's cold headed, she knows how to act in the nature (biology major!). She's into bird watching recenty. Also always loved foraging, esp for mushrooms.
She don't like to walk more than 25-30k in a single day. If I ask for it, she will do it, but it's just a little bit too much for her feet. (I'm more than happy to do 45-50k)
Over 120k in 4 days is more than doable.
Sleeping in tent never was a problem, but we do it almost only on music (rock) festiwals (ear plugs will save you a good night sleep).
She likes to drink something warm in the morning, and once in two, three days eat a hot medal - I don't need those kind of 'luxuries'.
As far as hygiene goes, she is not a problem. I am. Yes, in fact it's me, I'm the one that NEEDS a shower (snow or cold river will do), or I will have a hard time trying go to sleep. If your girl have a hard time with her period on the trail, maybe you should start dating girls over 14yo, who know how to take of themselfs.
She is a bit more susceptible for cold than I am, but that never stopped her, even in brutal winds, rain, hale or snow.
Writing that I see on our walls countless pictures from our trips (also our cats).
My fellow anons, life is sooo much easier with the rights gal by your side!
I really, really wish every single one of you, to find such great life partner - boy, girl, friend or one of those waifu pillows... I really, fucking really wish for you to have that luck.
