I'm from the Southern US, we had an extremely mild winter this year. In November/December I was in the deer stand and duck blind getting wrecked by these faggots. I couldn't wear bug spray in the deer stand because it smells, and would give me away to the deer. I would have to cover my entire body to protect myself. I had some under armor layer gloves and a net mask to cover face and hands. We had a cold front come through during duck season so I thought it was safe to remove the bug spray from by pack. January rolled around and it earned back up. I was in the swamp in short sleeves and it was miserable. I had some Copenhagen with me and rubbed it on my arms and hands. It worked ok, but nowhere near as good as Off Deep Woods.
Unfortunately I can't avoid their environment, so I try to wear clothing that will protect me. That and coat yourself in spray.
