But then we have no indication of measurement or even type of fabric for that cloak. It could be an ornamental cape for all we know.
The one on the bottom right is a cowl, or a surcape, not a cloak, and those on top are irrelevant.
Some think cloaks were shit based of the idea that cloaks were like this because people didn't wear proper clothing at the time and just madedo with a blanket. That picture shows clothing far more elaborate than that of a proper cloak.
Cloaks were actual clothing, and were designed to close (because people weren't retards back then, unlike today apparently), and we have indeed surviving garments to support this idea.
