>>949513>These are made to be used with ONLY 100% non-ethanol gasoline.I've got a buddy who works in the GM Tech Center Test Lab and he says ALL gasoline nowadays has some percentage of ethanol in it, as the same tanker trucks that are used for gasoline are use to transport ethanol and it inevitably gets mixed in.
So if your lawnmower or weed whacker, etc is fucking up, odds are it's because the fuel line has microscopic pinholes in it from the ethanol that has gotten mixed in with the gas and eats the plastic the fuel lines are made out of, so don't throw it out, just replace the fuel lines.
According to him, the auto industry has adopted different material for fuel lines that aren't affected by ethanol but the yard equipment industry hasn't upgraded and probably won't, as many consumers will just toss that leaf blower in the trash and buy a new one, which means more profits for the lawn equipment industry.
