Anyone able to help me identify this cone? Unfortunately didn't take a pic of the whole plant, but wouldn't help much either. Pretty sure it's some species out of the Cupressoideae subfamily, also the trees grow very narrowly.
From comparing pics on Wikipedia,
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cupressus_sempervirens (var 'stricta') fits best superficially, but I can hardly believe that since I'm at 50°N and they're not supposed to be able to survive here, but I've seen the same-looking cones on shittons of same-looking trees in gardens around here, so is there something similar looking of a different genus which might be it?
