Deployed a Havahart trap baited with cat food, and they'd take the bait almost immediately. Caught all five in the span of maybe an hour. They shit and pissed everywhere in their panic, so I bathed them by hand.
I then put them in the tub by hand and released them by hand, because possums don't bite creatures their own size or larger except in the most unusual circumstances. Their survival strategy is pacifism/playing dead.
Literally the least-scary, most helpful to humans (scavenger, and kills tons of vermin), least-threatening bro out in the wilds. Their faces are gnarled and creepy because it helps their death mimicry look more authentic.
