Coffee is extra weight (and sizable bulk) on your pack and often makes people shit
On the other hand it is a caffeine boost and an appetite suppressor.
I feel like coffee is perfectly fine on short length trips but is not worth it if you are going to be /out/ more than a week. Especially bad if you want to LARP as a survivalist since you want as many calories retained as possible.
