Spool up some good 8lb mono like Trilene, then assorted aberdeen hooks, assorted split shots, bobbers, pliers, and a pocket knoife.
Tackle bags are GOAT but you can get away with whatever if you don't have a ton of lures. Rapalas and Rooster Tails are two of the easiest lures to start with if you want to fish with artificial stuff. Jigheads with curly tail grubs are great for panfish and bass too.
Just sucks it's November and lakes will be frozen before you know it.
