But Forks is well known to have a failing economy. Lots of substance abuse. Lots of depression. Also, note that despite Forks being Republican, the county in total went 50% to Biden.
Similarly, city of Lynden went 70% for Trump. The county, Whatcom, went 60% for Biden.
You have to get way out there to reach a solid red county. Some of the counties like Adams went 70% Trump - but the whole entire giant county only had 6,000 voters. There's nothing there. The capital of Adams County, Ritzville, has a population of 1,700 people.
So it's tough. You want to be near the mountains? Near a decent little town with a good grocery store and hardware store and automotive store, the basics?
