I can speak for the Swazi. I have the Tahr and finally got to use it yesterday.
Was out in the Metcalf wilderness and I forgot my rain cover for my pack and my stuff got soaked.
Had to go 8 miles back in a decent downpout with high winds and everything got sucked accept what the coat covered. No wetting out even where the water was pressed against the coat by my pack.
I left it in my front seat and in the morning the coat had pools of water ON TOP OF IT. The brushed surface just pushes all the water to the top so the water sits on the material instead of soaking in. The brushed surface also keeps it quite.
This beast feels like a suit of armor.
Pros:
Very tough, very water resistant/proof, very resistant to wetting out, elastic cuffs, silent, long cut to protect top of pants and when sitting.
Cons:
Kinda heavy for a waterproof jacket, pockets arent bad but not the best either, not as packable as a lighter jacket such as arcteryx, can be hard to wiggle into sometimes if you get the anorak.
