There are some amazing machines that create the edgeless raised bed, cover it with a sheet of plastic, punch/burn holes in the plastic, if they are not already there, disc some dirt on the plastic edges to hold it down, and plant seeds all in one pass. Some plant types requires workers riding along on the back placing plant starts in the holes or thee will be a separate attachment to do that job. Those machines are really big in the strawberry industry.
